Welcome to the home of Texas Medical Misión, a non-profit organization that began when a group of doctors from the Houston area recognized the great need for improved health care in certain parts of South America.

The mission started in 2001 when the group of doctors gathered and sent various medical supplies to health care centers that serve the poor communities of Peru.  This was accompanied by a summer mission to more direcly provide care for the individual patient in these understaffed, undersupplied areas.

Today we are proud to present Texas Medical Misión as a newly registered non-profit organization with intentions to grow and extend its ability to provide aid for the Peruvian people as well as others in need in Latin America. This is possible thanks to the many great people who have come together to support our cause.

• 2001:  The mission was established as a foundation.
• 2004:  The mission was designated as a non-profit organization, and was given a 501(C)(3).
• June 8, 2005: The first Gala Dinner and Auction was held in downtown Houston.
• July 8, 2007:  Texas Medical Mision participates in Peruvian Festival 2007 at Bear Creek Park in Houston.
